Eagle (we must take one of them) can live up to 70 years. However, in order to achieve such a long life, he (let’s assume that our eagle is a male) must make some very difficult and challenging decisions. When he reaches the age of 40, his long and elastic clasps are no longer effective when hunting, grabbing and holding onto his prey. His powerful and deadly beak has grown so much that it now tapers downwards and prevents him to feed correctly. His old and heavy wings are full of tightly knit feathers of which most no longer serve their purpose, thus preventing him to fly higher and faster and due to their enlarged sizes, they don’t fold back correctly and are causing him unnecessary discomfort when resting.

When our eagle reaches this point in his life, he is faced with two choices: either to let things run their course and face imminent death or go through a very laborious and painful process of self transformation, which usually lasts around 150 days. The latter process requires of eagle to fly to the highest (safest) point on a mountain peak and make a new nest for himself. Once he is in that safe position, he usually starts to peck his beak against the rock, until it completely breaks down. When that objective is achieved, eagle waits for the new beak to grow. At which point, he starts to peck his old and by now “useless” clasps, until they break down too. As soon as the new clasps are reformed, he starts to peck his heavy wings in order to get rid of the surplus of dead (useless) feathers. After successful completion of this laborious process of change, which usually lasts around five months; eagle is again ready to start the second part of his life for another thirty or so years.

As seen from this short story and an example of a truly remarkable bird like eagle, one must start living the values of constant personal change and re-invention in order not only to survive, but to thrive and achieve unlimited levels of personal success.

So, why is the change necessary? By default, nature is dynamic and ever evolving. This factual information is constantly reinforced through numerous findings in the field of quantum physics, which state that at sub-atomic level, nothing stands still or remains the same. Not even for an infinitesimally small part of an atomic second. Because everything in existence constantly changes, evolves and transforms into various new forms, shapes, patterns and conditions, which we interpret and recognise as: seedlings, initiations, births, deaths, growths, blooms, decays, seasons etc. The same evolutionary principle applies to humans too. This means that we must constantly embrace the process of personal change or else, we will end up down sloping into unwanted circumstances of life. So the only way forward is to become permanently attuned to one’s true wishes and rigorously pursue them at any cost.

Most people perceive such options as being difficult and therefore tend to employ the strategy of living within their present limitations and/or favour circumstances which are easily manageable and familiar. However, that is precisely what one must not do in his/her life. In order to go forward, one must embrace the notion of change and with it adopt a strict mental discipline, behaviour and work ethic to make it work in his/her favour. In order to be successful in this venture, one must learn to tolerate pain, which comes from venturing into the unknown and also by constantly pushing and stretching one’s comfort zone. And that is not easy, as those processes might invoke among many other things the release of past emotional burdens and restrictions, which has plagued that person and stopped him/her from making progress in anything he/she wanted to accomplish in the past.

Psychology explains this phenomenon as “limiting beliefs”, which are direct products of our past thought processes, hence imposed belief systems. Remarkably, the true healing starts the moment we consciously decide to rid ourselves of the shackles of our past memories, habits and ways of doing things, so that we can finally start living in NOW and with it start creating the new life for us and the people that matter to us most.

In the aforementioned story – every eagle is faced with the following challenge: which is either to make painful changes in order to extend his life or does nothing and die. However, as nature always pursues the option of life – those birds were genetically coded deep within their DNA to do whatever they have to do to achieve their survival – unconditionally. We have also learnt that eagle chooses to sacrifice five painful months of laborious work, pain and even hunger to accomplish his task of physical transformation, which would later allow him to prolongue his life for another 30 years or so.

That is truly astonishing feat and just how different we (humans) are from other species in a sense that we are primarily driven by our own minds, as oppose to pure instincts, which characterises behaviour of other living beings. In other words, we are not overly concerned about finding food and shelter (instinctive behaviour), as much as we are stimulated by outside challenges, that will prove to be pleasing and stimulating for a variety of reasons (mind controlled thinking). This in fact demonstates that we are always cognitively seeking initiation of any “pleasurable” event/relationship and would do anything to keep it alive, thus perceiving the ending of those “nice things and/or relationships” as personal tragedies. But, is it? I would say it isn’t! Because, nothing lasts forever and everything happens for a specific reason and lasts only for as long the energy that has created it continues to keep its “power supply” streaming.

So, I guess you might be asking by now as to what creates everything in existence. Believe or not, but it is a thought or a mental picture/s expressed through controlled thinking. However, in order to create something, thought must be supported by a solid dose of positive or negative emotional energy in order to drive (motivate) the forebearer to materialise it.

As we live in a dualistic world, positive thoughts powered by positive emotions will always create pleasurable environments. However, we must be very cautious of the opposite, which is mainly created by negative thinking, which in turn produces negative emotions, hence creation of negative realities. And so how can we detect unwanted subconscous thoughts and eliminate them? Due to our mind driven, thinking and intellectualising ways of living, we tend to submerge ourselves in false realities created by superficial thinking, which is the cancer of today’s human progress toward enlightment. In the process of our recent biological evolution (last 10 000 years), we have almost totally separated ourselves from the true sources of our own being, which is observation of our inner feelings or “living in the heart”. So, all we need to do is to check our feelings and instantly we will know as to what is going on inside our unconscious minds. If you ever “feel down and inadequate”, you are definitely thinking negative thoughts, which are drawing your negative emotions and attracting negative conditions in your life.

However, in order to go forward, we must first learn more about integral connection between mind and emotions. Mind is nothing but an instrument that should be carefully used to ground ideas from the ether and therefore help us shape our realities through controlled thinking governed by emotions. Pragmatically speaking, mind is something that resides outside our true selves. Whilst emotions are very much part of our selves and therefore should be observed and trusted a lot more than they are right now. However, since we are programmed (social and parental conditioning) to use our minds for almost everything in our lives – we are now total slaves of its limitiations and in particular its most powerful weapon: TIME. In the universal/cosmic reality – time doesn’t exist. It is the clever creation of our minds (logical thinking and intellectualising) to keep us imprisoned in the false thinking that the past and future are real – which in fact – they are not and subconsciously, we know that for fact.

As it happens, nothing that we can’t perceive right now is truly relevant for our wellbeing going forward. What we interpret as time is nothing but infinity of NOW and what we do right now will define as to what and where we will be in NOW at some other point in what we define as future. So, it is extremely important that we maximise every conscious moment of our life in NOW, because NOW is all we will ever have. Through intellectualisation, i.e. living outside of our own selves, we allow outside conditions/events to influence our emotions and therefore create feelings of separation from everyone and everything, which in effect makes us weak, inadeaquate and “alone”. But, that is not true. We are never “alone”, because this whole, vast, dynamic and ever evolving universe is in fact one undivided entity that encompasses everything in existence and to whom we often refer to as GOD.

The danger of constant dwelling in rational mind thinking is that in order for it to surive, it feeds its source with negative thoughts, which of course create negative life’s conditions. In this case, we get entrapped in the vicious circle of giving away our own power to outside events (supported by the mind), which if not given consideration, would never affect our lives. So the only way forward is to control our thought processes via highly focused mind meditations and always consciously switch those negative thoughts into their positive counterparts and then observe inner magic changing our lives in some spectacular fashion. In life, we go through so many things and tend to experience both positive, as well as negative outcomes. So, when we are faced with similar challenges right now, most people (including myself) would habitually resort to solutions that have worked well in the past. After a long list of failed attempts to pursue those strategies, I have realised that past events taught me something, but not everything that I could effectively use for similar occurences in my NOW and in any of my “future” NOW’s. So for that reason, those strategies didn’t work. Because, I didn’t consider them as what they are – unique and different. If I did, I would have cleverly used the mix of what I know (mind driven) and instinctive (emotional drive) in order to steer me to where I wanted to go. All master problem solvers hardly ever rely on logical thinking and more often than not trust their intuitions to show them the way, which in fact is the correct way of doing things. When you reach that stage of consciousness throught controlled thinking, you “know” without having any cognitive awareness of how and where you acquired it, because at that point – it no longer matters.

If we therefore wish to grow and effectively learn from life, we must become more open minded and vigilant about own present needs and stay alert about what course of action would be the most appropriate for each new situation that one could be facing on a daily basis. Since everything in our lives is so dynamic and ever changing, we must constantly reevaluate and adapt our ways of thinking, behaviour and personal strategies to an ever changing sets of events, that we know will come our way or intutively anticipate by simple observation of our emotions.

As we have seen in the story about eagle, they do not rationalise about what is happening to them right NOW. Instead, they simply follow and trust their intuitions to show them the way to live longer by taking relevant actions right NOW. They also do whatever they have to do without too much rational thinking about how much will that “cost” them in pain, hunger and time in pleasurable activities of flying and hunting. Instead, they instinctively know that all temporaty hardship will ultimatelly reward them with what they seek most – longer life.

Over a period of time, I have become a fan of intuition and its immense power to enhance one’s life for good. For the greater part of my life, I have heavily relied on intellect and rational thinking and I must admit – it didn’t get me far. If anything, it caused me more pain and grief than anything else that I know. However, as soon as I started transforming my way of thinking and started influencing my reality by controlled thinking and “being in NOW”, I have gradually turned the corner and started attracting events, people and circumstances that I truly wanted in my life.

It is of course important to acknowledge that thoughts create reality and therefore, if one wishes to follow this way to enlightment – one must pursue that road at any cost. Because if you relax for one moment and let your mind take over, you will resume your old habits of being slave to your divine tool (mind) and that will revert you back to your old “unwanted” habits and realities.

If you wish to achieve the lasting change, you must learn to exist in NOW with only limited awareness of superficial past and the future. Therefore the sensation that we qualify as “change” is simply an intuitive reaction to events that are happening to us right NOW and for which we have no cognitive knowledge about how to deal effectively. But, when we learn to live in NOW, the first thing we do is to observe our inner feelings about them and also obediently follow our intuitions, which without failure will always point us in the right direction for anything unknown. Due to our modern ways of life, (over reliance on logical thinking) this can be an extremely difficult task to accomplish and in particular, if we have any doubts about its power. However, if we choose to follow it regardless and let it guide us just the way it should, we will soon realise that everything in existence is absolutely perfect and meaningful – just as it is.

In summary, I have to say only three things: learn to live in NOW, learn to observe your emotions and become finely tuned to your intuition and watch the magic taking over. Enjoy!

Effective goal settings, crisp communication, prioritisation, focus, creativity and tenacity are some of the traits used by busy executives on a daily basis. However, how many of you consciously notice the variations in your performance/state of being during the day/week? Why do you feel more tired and hesitant during latter parts of the working day? Is there something that is slowing you down? The answer might be depleted energy.

So, what is energy? The human beings are an open energy systems or in other words, you represent a series of continuously interacting, multi-dimensional subtle energy systems, which are bilaterally symmetrical and which occupy the wholeness of our body. It flows in the circular motion, up and down from the centre and just below your abdomen. Your mind-soul connection is the only source of your consciousness that runs your bio-computer (brain) and every cell in your body via the endless circulation of energy, which is also known as: Qi (Chinese), Prana (Yogic) and/or Aura (Western).

Intensive daily activities tend to drain your vitality and ability to maintain your top performance at all times, hence variations in your “state of being”. Especially, if very little or almost nothing is done to re-energise yourself throughout the day. It is therefore important to understand the energy and what impact it exerts upon your work performance, health and well-being.

Human energy is generated from four sources: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. The physical energy is derived from sleep, food, hydration, exercise and deep abdominal breathing. The emotional energy comes from confidence and enthusiasm. Mental energy is generally associated with the focus, logical thinking and decision-making. Whilst spiritual energy is linked to our deepest believes and values, which are driven by passion, persistence and determination.

Extraordinary performance requires exceptional energy generation and storage for when it’s needed. It is scientifically proven that people who skillfully manage their own energy are the winners. This is one of the key components, which differentiates balanced people from the rest. Effective energy management is not a result of will power, but rather an inhibited daily routine (ritual).

By introducing principles of performance psychology, physical exercising and correct nutrition, you will become more physically energized, emotionally fulfilled, mentally focused and you will live your core values to increase and sustain higher work performance for greater personal success and at no extra cost to your health or personal happiness.

Performance psychology is a potential “mine field” for inexperienced and therefore, it is highly advisable to seek professional help. Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) has become a driving force due to its simplicity and practicality. There are many qualified organizations and individuals, but no final decision should be made without thorough self-appraisal about what is specifically needed.

Meditation is simple and yet highly effective mental exercise, which if practiced regularly will enhance your mental focus and concentration. Other key benefits of regular meditation are greater energy generation, as well as sharper and more creative problem solving. You can practice on your own or perhaps with a group of trusted people. There are no rights or wrongs about it. The only advantage of a group meditation is a higher energy creation and sharing.

It is a widely recognised fact that physically fitter people tend to outperform their “couch potato” colleagues. They tend to be quicker decision makers, superior at multitasking, information processing and attention to detail. There are two types of physical activities you should consider: general fitness and energy exercises.

Regular visits to your local gym will meet all your needs for physical fitness and endurance. However, how many of you have acknowledged the immense benefits of several ancient healing arts, such as: Yoga, Qi Gong and/or Tai Chi – to name the few as an effective energy generation vehicles? Daily practice of one or several of these disciplines shall do you a world of good. And when you become proficient in any one of them, the first sensation is that your mind becomes quieter and that you start to gain a greater insight into your mind/body connection. This is often achieved through accelerated relaxation and hence energy generation, which will provide you with the additional stimulus to increase your intellectual and physical stamina for when it’s most needed.

It is important to exercise daily, in order to achieve those greater reserves of energy. Most people don’t often have neither time, nor space to exercise. If you’re one of them, it is highly advisable you should seek a professional advice about what type of high-energy exercises would be ideal for your circumstances.

You should also get a good understanding of a balanced nutrition and its impact upon your energy, moods, thinking process, metabolism and overall physical performance. Ideally, you should know, as to when, what and how much to eat to provide you with optimal energy levels for particular type of work or challenge you might be facing. If this is something you might be interested, then you should seek a fully customized programme to meet with your specific dietary, professional and lifestyle conditions.

In summary, high-energy people are not only healthier and more productive, but they act as a magnet to others. They are also known as “charismatic”, which in itself generate success not only for themselves, but also for the wider group of people they are with.

The pace of modern life and our increasing lack of strategy and ability to cope with it are becoming too strenuous for most people. Science has proven that every individual reacts to stress differently. Sustained negative emotions and its constant applications tend to produce adverse and negative effects on to our complex bodily systems. Most medical practitioners believe that relaxation is the key component in the treatment of many disorders, particularly those brought on or made worse by the stress. Their reasoning is based on what is known about the effects of stress on the body. In brief, the stressful events produce strong emotions, which arouse certain physical responses controlled by the sympathetic nervous system and the network of nerve tissues that help prepare the body to meet emergencies by “flight or fight”. Since this is a primal neurological brain wiring, our bodies still do exactly what they did since the moment of our creation. However, things have changed in the last hundred years or so and that has instilled the phenomenon, which we plainly know as “stress”.

The typical response pattern to emergencies has probably emerged during the time when all humans primarily faced physical threats. Although the “threats” we now live with are seldom physical, the body reacts to them, as if they were: the pupils dilate to let in more light; sweat pours out, reducing the chance of skin cuts, blood vessels near the skin tend to contract, so to reduce bleeding, while those in the brain and muscles dilate to increase the oxygen supply. The gastrointestinal tract, including the stomach and intestines, slows down to reduce the energy expensed in digestion. The heart increases its beats and with it the blood pressure rises. Normally, people calm down when a stressful event is over and especially if they have done something to deal with it. For instance, imagine your own reactions if you’re walking down a dark street and hear someone running toward you. What do you do? Your body prepared you to ward off an attacker or run fast enough to get away. So, when you manage to escape, you gradually relax.

If you get angry at your boss, it’s a different matter. Your body may prepare you to fight, but since you want to keep your job, you try to ignore the angry feelings. Similarly, if on the way home you get stalled in the traffic, there’s nothing you can do to get away. These situations can literally make you sick. Your body has prepared you for action, but you cannot act. Individuals differ in the way they respond to stress. In some people, the physiological function, such as blood pressure becomes more active, while in others, it remains normal. Many experts believe that these individual physical responses to stress can become habitual. When the body is repeatedly aroused, one or more functions may become permanently overactive, as actual damage to bodily tissues may eventually result.

However, when an individual purposefully seeks a state of deep relaxation, a number of important physiological mechanisms are triggered. The relaxation state, called the “relaxation response” by Dr. Herbert Benson of Harvard University, is the opposite of the “flight and fight” state, which has also been called the “stress response”.

Researchers have found that many diseases are caused and aggravated by stress, which causes over activity of the sympathetic nervous system and exhaustion of the adrenal glands. They have also found that inducing the relaxation response can resolve or neutralize the negative effects of the stress on the body and heal diseases.

Research has indicated that the physiological mechanisms that are triggered by inducing relaxation are:

- Reduction of blood pressure

- Warming of the skin surface due to dilation of blood capillaries

- Enhanced productivity of healing neurochemicals and hormones

- A shift towards a lower frequency of brain-wave activity (alpha and theta)

Deep relaxation for the purpose of self-healing and/or health enhancement can be achieved by adhering to the following practice. Deeper or altered states of consciousness may also be attained by merely remaining mindful of the breath alone. In such methods, the individual refines his/her practice to the extent that the busy mind is completely quite or emptied. This is more difficult to accomplish than just a simple relaxation. Busy minded people will benefit from starting with some preliminary methods of relaxation, because those techniques are easier to learn and apply. They will also allow you to focus your mind, rather than trying to empty or quiet it completely. Success with these simple relaxation practices may lead you over a period of time to an interest in more advanced techniques/practices.

Meditation is one of the most commonly known methods of achieving personal enlightenment. It is meticulously recorded that some forms of meditation were in practice for more than twenty-five centuries, which were spread from India to China and to other parts of the world. The key principle of all meditation techniques is the connection of the body, mind and the breath. Bodily posture is the key starting point in any meditation practice/session. Sitting on the floor is highly advisable, because it is very stable position to start with. It is highly recommendable to use a small pillow to raise the rear just a little bit, so that knees can rest on the ground. With your bottom on the pillow and two knees touching the ground, you form a tripod base that will give you three hundred and sixty-degree stability. There are several positions, which you could take, but it is highly recommended you find your own position, which will suit you most. Zen’s Lotus is by far the most stable of all known positions. In here, the foot is placed up on the opposite thigh, which gives perfectly symmetrical and solid seating position. It is also important to note there is no esoteric significance to different positions. What is most important is what you do with your mind and not what you do with your feet or legs. It is also fine to sit on the chair too, if that is what your body prefers at that precise moment in time.

In essence, all sitting positions should allow you to keep your back straight during meditation practice. The importance of having your back being perfectly upright is to allow diaphragm to move freely. Your breathing will be very deep (Dan Tien breathing in Chinese) as your abdomen will rise and fall in as much the same way, as an infant’s belly rises and falls. As we mature in our physical development, our breathing becomes more restricted and far less complete. Due to life pressures and “living outside of the body”, we forget to breathe naturally and tend to breathe with shallow exhalations from the top of our chests. As a result, deep, complete breathing hardly ever occurs in our day-to-day lives. Breath is the vital force, which is central to our bodies’ regeneration and recuperation. Mind and breath are one reality: when your mind is agitated, your breath is agitated. When you are nervous, you breathe quickly and shallowly and also when your mind is peaceful, your breath becomes deeper, easier and effortless.

Before starting your meditation sessions, it is very important to loosen up anything that is tight around the waist and to wear clothes that are non-binding. For instance, material should not gather behind the knees when you cross the legs, inhibiting circulation. You should also allow diaphragm to move freely, so that breathing is deep, easy and natural. You don’t have to control it and you don’t have to make it happen, as it will happen by itself, provided you get the correct posture and have positioned your body properly.

Once you’ve positioned yourself, there are few things you should have checked beforehand. The mouth should be closed and the tongue should be pressed lightly against the upper palate. This will reduce your need to salivate and swallow. Preferably, eyes should be kept closed to achieve greater focus; however, some people prefer to keep them lowered. The chin is slightly tucked in and the nose is centered in line with the navel, the upper torso leaning neither forward nor back. Once you’ve done this, there should be no tension in your body at all. The hands should be gently placed on top of your knees. In various forms of meditation, people tend to use mantras and or vocal images. But the most highly effective technique is based upon breath. The breath is the life and hence the word “Chi”, which in Chinese means the energy that is generated from the breath.

When above is accomplished, it is important to focus on “Dan Tien” part of the body. It is located couple centimeters below the navel. That’s the physical and spiritual center of the body. Focus your attention on that part only and follow the breath sinking in from your nostrils, all the way down to your deepest parts of the abdomen. We suggest you begin working on yourself by counting the breath, counting each inhalation and each exhalation, beginning with one and counting up to ten. When you get to ten, come back to one and start all over again. During this process, you will notice thoughts pouring in, which if you wish, you may acknowledge and then consciously let them go and begin the count again at one. Mentally bring your awareness to each part of your body progressively and then consciously relax that part, from the feet all the way up to the head. The breath should be relaxed and should follow your mind. This technique could even be adapted for when at work.

The counting is the feedback to help you acknowledge, as to when your mind has drifted off. Each time you return, you are empowering yourself with the ability to put your mind when and where you want it. This technique increases your power of concentration. Also, when you’ve been practicing this process for a while, your awareness will sharpen and you’ll begin to notice things that were always there, but somehow managed to escape your attention.

Once you’ve masterminded this technique, you will abandon the counting altogether, as you will just be the breath and you will allow the breath to work itself in and out totally naturally and on its own. So when you reach your ultimate state of stillness, you should be breathing at a rate of two to three breaths a minute. So, the more the mind is at rest, the more deeply the body is at rest. Respiration, heart rate, circulation and metabolism slow down tremendously in such a deep state of relaxation.

Importance of breath on our minds and body cannot be ignored, if we aspire to attain long lasting health. Breath is the source of life and everyone should find a small amount of time to concentrate on this extremely therapeutic and so natural way to improve one’s health. It costs nothing, except your will and time, which you will dedicate to yourself and your overall well-being. So go on, treat yourself with this so natural and inexpensive gift and your body will thank you for it.

There are many definitions of “comfort zone” and my favourite is that it represents your living, work and social environments to which you have become so used to, that you simply refuse to expand it beyond its present boundaries. It is so omnipotent that it determines the type of people you are attracted to and with whom you prefer to build relationships with. It also dictates your lifestyle, which if remains unchallenged will potentially lead to your boredom and visionless future.

If for whatever reason you are dissatisfied with your present lifestyle, you should carefully evaluate what caused it and allow for necessary changes to take place. Comfort zones are directly linked to your dreams and goals and that has a direct impact upon your future levels of personal success and happiness. If you are serious about personal development and growth, you must learn to constantly push your comfort zone upward.

If you’ve decided to make a positive change into your life, you must set yourself a clear set of goals, seeing yourself achieving them and having an unshakable belief that you’re the creator of your own reality (of which you are). In that process, you will stream all your energy toward your goals, thus your old comfort zone(s) will cease to exist as it has been effectively replaced by a new one, which will better suit your newly formed requirements and aspirations.

In other words, if you’ve decided to climb a Mount Blanc in Switzerland, you must have a clear vision in your mind of you climbing, experiencing the physical strain, scenery, weather and all good and not so good things on the way up. It will eventually allow you to prepare a good cognitive strategy, which will guide you toward the achievement of your newly set goal(s). The key to successful stretching of your comfort zone is to mercilessly keep raising the bar about your personal expectations and the way you will go about it. Once you’ve mastered this ability, it will stimulate and guide you to ultimately convert all your goals into a desired reality.

The most important element in its delivery is your ability to clearly and vividly visualise your dreams/goals with frequent repetitions and emotions in order to allow your unconscious mind to create realistic pictures. Once your unconscious mind accepts those images, it will start searching for opportunities to bring them into reality. Your unconscious is the obedient servant of the conscious mind and does exactly what it’s being asked. If for whatever reason, deep down you feel (slight hesitation) that you are not up to the task, you will find ways to reject that idea and fail in its delivery. It is therefore extremely important that you are fully and completely congruent about your dream or goal, as it will only materialise in those circumstances.

If you use your imagination to:

- Imagine the change you aspire for

- Build an expectation of the change

- Mentally and emotionally prepare yourself for the change by simply anticipating for what it might be

- Refuse to accept any other life option, but the one you have set yourself to achieve.

Your unconscious mind will find various strategic alternatives to make your dream or goal a reality, particularly if you are mentally ready for it. This has a direct correlation to what people often refer to as “self-fulfilling prophecy”. Which means that any mental condition, such as: hope, fear, anticipation, denial might attract exactly what your mind focuses on, even though you do not consciously choose for that to happen.

Every person has different comfort zone parameters. Some people excel in situations where other people find uncomfortable and vice versa. It is also important to acknowledge that some people find problems, suffering, poverty etc as their comfort zones and they will always complain and blame other people for their misfortunes. Instead of looking inward for reasons that have brought them to where they are and find ways to take them to where they ideally want to be.

In the corporate world, absenteeism, lack of ideas, initiatives, daily crisis, inadequate internal and external communications, low productivity and confrontations between management and employees is what could be classified as their comfort zones. Management and their staff have grown accustom to finding fault between each other, instead of constructively working together to achieve their mutual goals.

Negative comfort zones could easily be overcome by setting and focusing on positive goals and objectives, which could allow everyone involved to work together toward its achievement. Whatever you think/focus on a daily basis, whether it is positive or negative determines your comfort zone and therefore, careful daily evaluation of your own thoughts and merciless elimination of what you do not want will bring you the balance you aspire for.

It is also important to note that money, power and influence are not goals, as they are only rewards for personal achievements.

Motivation starts with the desire to be free, to be free from dependency on others, freedom to live the lifestyle you dream and establish the freedom to explore your own ideas. Total freedom is not possible or desirable, but the struggle to achieve that goal is the key component of motivation.

Motivation is built on the folowing three basic elements:

- It starts with a need, vision, dream or desire to achieve seemingly impossible. Creativity is associated with ideas, projects and goals, which can be considered a path to freedom.

- Encourage the passion for life long learning, risky ventures and continually seek new life opportunities. Success is based on acknowledging what works and what doesn’t.

- Developing the ability to overcome barriers and to bounce back from discouragement or failures. Achievers learn to tolerate the agony of failures. Barriers and failures will be present in any worthwhile endeavour.

Motivation is the combination of a person’s desire and energy directed at achieving a goal. It is the cause of action. Motivation can be intrinsic, which is linked to satisfaction and/or feelings of achievement or it can be extrinsic, which is based upon rewards, punishment or goal achievement. The same course of action doesn’t always motivate everyone and therefore individual motivational aspects vary from person to person.

As seen from above, there is an undeniable link between comfort zones, goal settings and motivation. It is so closely woven into one another that it almost impossible to separate. It could be said that motivation is the engine and primary culprit of everything you do, think or associate yourself with. It defines dynamics of your personality and your overall being, so careful evaluation of your personal motivational factors is a great way forward for good understanding of yourself and with it the potential for creation of your wanted material reality.

Dr. Deepak Chopra, a distinguished quantum biology theorist, medical doctor and a writer has stated in his book “How to know God” that humans and every other living being exist in the following reality sandwich:

                                                                                Material

                                            ————————–Quantum————————–

                                                                                 Virtual

Awareness of our reality is constantly flowing from the virtual to quantum and then expressed in the material and then reverting back in the same order. Virtual level houses the eternity of our souls (our consciousness/personality, energy, aura or who and what we are) which then flows down to the quantum (sub-atomic level or mind), through which it shapes desired material forms, hence destinies.

All things are created by flowing energy and energy flows into form according to its vibration. Absolutely everything has its own unique vibration, its own energetic frequency. Energy moves in waves, this is its vibration, the frequency and intensity of its highs and lows.

The above could be easily understood by looking at the sea surface, it is easy to see that the big high waves are more powerful than the small lapping waves. They have gathered force over time, rolling in from far out to sea, gaining momentum and height. This is the same for vibration. The more intense the vibration, the more attracting power it has to pull of the same vibration to it. When it is able to do this, it gains momentum, its energy builds and when it becomes dense enough, it will eventually express itself in the material form.

In other words, calm, focused mind with its unreserved belief will eventually achieve what it has set itself to achieve. Time has no role in this process, as attraction power works on a sheer consistency and belief that the final outcome will eventually become a reality, despite any potential obstacles that might present themselves on the way.

When we translate the above model, we come to realisation that our thoughts and actions shape our destinies and enable us to become who and what we are. In order to reach for the inner gold, me must consciously accept that all the power we seek is already within and that we are the ultimate masters of our own destinies. If you don’t like what you’re getting now – change your thinking and act differently and that will provide you with different results or will ultimately lead you to where you want to go.

Enlightment is the phenomenon, which occurs through the process of constant advancement of personal awareness and knowledge. Our spirits dwell in an eternal plane of knowledge and therefore, we have an open access to anything we seek. It is well recorded in many religious and New Thought books that all we have to do is ask and it will be answered. However, what is important to note is that those answers will appear in higher parts of our being. It will be initiated in the virtual domain and communicated to quantum (mind) or sub-conscious. So, to be able to effectively receive those messages (consciously), you must be in tune with oneself, i.e. develop a good internal self-sensitivity to your own feelings or in other words – paying attention to your intuitive thoughts. Some Far Easter teachings call this phenomenon a “reality river” which is a thought/motivation/drive expressed through action, which creates material form.

Our programme will enable you to eventually become aware of your own “reality river” and with it you will gain the ability to control your thoughts and thus all aspects of your being, starting from health, relationships, personal success and spirituality.

To be able to reach within, you must be able to calm your mind and observe your thoughts, which are floating in your mind at any time and decide as to whether they are useful or not. Your belief system is totally governed by your mind and past behaviours/outcomes, so the ability to bypass some of those “alarming messages” and developing the ability to trust your own intuition is extremely important for successful and fulfilled life.

Modern lives are governed by other people’s opinions, directions, advices, feelings etc. However, what most of us forget is that all the support we need, such as emotional, motivational, intellectual to name the few are already within us, but we have to become aware of it. Highly successful people, who have achieved a perfect equilibrium between “inside and outside” have a well defined internal information system, which they tend to listen to very carefully and which usually never lets them down. How many times have you heard from other people about risks that have paid off many times over? Those people have chosen not to listen to outside world and instead, they have entrusted their destinies to their intuitions and were fully congruent (complete belief) in whatever they were set to do – despite obvious difficulties that presented themselves at times when they made those critical decisions.

Those traits are available to every one of us, but some of us are better than the other to reach within and listen to directions we are always getting from the virtual domain. The pain, uncertainty and various other forms of negative feelings come from detachment from the flow and sticking only to perceived physical reality. That is the biggest contributor to problems of all sorts, which people tend experience now days. When you cut your inner flow of information, you deprive yourself of the life juices that power you to achieving your dreams.

Every religious tradition insists that soul is there to bring an end to suffering and put us on the road to growth and personal enlightment. The same cannot be said about other parts of our personal make-up. The mind, ego, emotions and thoughts can throw us into turmoil and confusion despite all our efforts to reach a clarity and peace from within. So the solution is to attune yourself to your soul and listen carefully to the guidance it will give you and that is precisely what daily practise of our programme will enable you to do.

I’m sure that all of you have experienced a moment of “connection”, when suddenly a thought has surfaced to the forefront of your conscious awareness about something that you were pondering about. How did that happen? In most cases, you were either day dreaming or not having a specific focus on anything in particular and then suddenly, the flash of light in form of an idea/information you were seeking is right in front of you. I’ve heard many people (including myself) say on those occasions, “my bulb has suddenly switched on” or “I can see” or “how did I not come up with that before” or something along those lines. That event has occurred, because the “reality river” flow was established for whatever amount of time and which has enabled you to get an answer to questions you were asking yourself continually.

Sages in the Far East have an expression for the conscious state in which you can get all the answers and directions you need and they call it “internal dweller”. In other words, the person who has the ability to draw from within and enjoy the internal stability, i.e. peace and heaven that comes from within and which is created by the eternal knowledge of your soul. The fear is yet another emotion, which is predominantly born from an internal disconnection and therefore lack of flow of internal knowledge, which would otherwise prevent it.

Whether we are rich, happy, fulfilled, ambitious, unstable, angry, sad etc. has come from somewhere, accepted by us neurologically and then expressed physically in our state of mind and hence behaviour.

So the ultimate quality of life requires individuals to be good internal listeners or dwellers. Just having that ability to draw all the support, strength, knowledge and energy from within oneself is the great door opener for anything you wish to achieve in the physical world we presently occupy.

The pace of modern life with its ever-increasing technological advances presents a number of people with rising dilemma about how they will successfully cope with it in the future. It is a well documented fact that most of us are already overstressed and surprisingly, we accept it as part of our everyday lives. But, do we really need to do that? Is that the right way forward? Humans are not biologically designed, nor wired to cope successfully with such intensive lifestyles and mental stresses. Our biological make-up certainly cannot accept it. So, why do we let it go unchallenged?

The answer might lie in our belief that health is given and for as long as we keep everything else in good order and continue achieving our external goals, internally we will be fine. This strategy might work for some people, whilst others might crumble quicker. It is a form of personal gamble, but at the end, it catches up with all of us. The pressures of the material world are slowly ripping into the integrative links of our own beings, which permeates on all planes of our existence. In here, I’m talking about a disruption of internal relationship of mind, body and soul, which is the essence of our emotional fulfillment, integrity and happiness.

How many times have you heard “successful” people claiming that they feel “drained and empty” at the peak of their successes? How is that possible? They have achieved everything there is to be achieved: money, fame, social standing etc, but despite all that, most of them feel deep inside the sensation of disconnectedness and emptiness. That might be because they were too narrowly focused (which is good in one way) on achieving their goals (external), but at the same time, they have totally neglected their own psycho-physiological needs (internal).

Our consciousness/awareness is directly linked to our souls and therefore, we must carefully balance our internal, as well as external needs. Any excessive focus either way is not the solution, nor purpose of our physical lives. We are here to experience physically, what we know virtually, but it has to be done in such a way that all our senses are satisfied and properly utilised.

Pressures of the material world are forcing us to neglect and discriminate the essence of “who we are” and that is the key cause of emotional misbalance, which we often experience during our lifetimes. There are many variables in each person’s lives, but the most common denominator that governs our behaviour is the “fear of failure”. It is widely accepted mental condition, and yet only few question its existence and whether we need to bow to enormous psychological pressures, it exerts upon us daily. This is due to the fact that we simply do not give enough time to reflect upon our own needs and what is it that we are looking to achieve.

Failure to understand oneself often results in various forms of anxieties and personal dissatisfactions, which over period of time create rather unwanted psycho-physiological conditions. Physical inactivity and bad diets tend to worsen those conditions further. It is a well-documented fact that some people cope with stresses and life pressures better than others, but even those with stronger personal defenses have limitations. So what happens next? The most radical punishment is the loss of health. When someone gets to that point, it often leads to financial/family problems and downward spiral starts. Loss of health equates to life lost opportunities and that is something that perhaps could have been easily prevented. If only those symptoms were recognized earlier and due attention was given toward its prevention. However, in order to kick-start the processes of recovery, we must consciously accept that there are unresolved issues which we must address and decisively eliminate.

Not everything in life looks as bleak as described above, but facts stand – we need to pay more attention to our own personal quality of life and achieve that so much needed balance. General health cannot be taken for granted and therefore, it is our social responsibility to keep ourselves healthy, as in doing so, we will help our loved ones and the society, overall.

In order for any one of us to excel in this ever-demanding world, we need to grasp a good understanding of oneself first. Everything else will follow in a perfect universal order. Sound personal health and well-being have no price, nor should it ever be questioned. We must work daily on every part of our personal make-up in order to achieve that so much sought after personal fulfillment and happiness. The key element of one’s eternal happiness and overall health is to find balance in lifelong learning and personal development, which will ultimately lead to “enlightment”, which is the only purpose of our physical existence.

If you want to learn more about this subject and how our programme “Journey into Self Awareness” can help you achieve your personal balance, please contact us for more information.

It was meticulously recorded throughout the history of mankind that good humour, lightheartedness and religious beliefs are the most powerful self-healing instruments given to us by the Mother Nature.

The science of psychoneuroimmunology has found that when laughter occurs, the body produces healing chemicals that enhance immune function and reduces pain. It was also recorded that our bodies strictly follow our moods. They produce chemicals that can either enhance our health and well being or can bring us closer to our deathbeds.

Carl Jung once stated: “There can be no transforming of Darkness into Light and of Apathy into Movement without Emotion”. In other words – our emotions govern the state of our general health. Every thought, be it positive or negative has an impact on our immune system. People that are regularly drawn into negative aspects of their lives tend to drain their vitality much quicker and also are more prone to fatal diseases. This phenomenon occurs due to subdued state of mind, which in return produces poisonous chemicals, which result in stresses and tensions. The reduction of life giving energy lanes has a negative impact upon a healthy molecular regeneration of our bodies, thus leading to potential fatal long-term illnesses.

The medical literature has numerous citings of the impact of laughter on one’s health. The American Journal of Medical Science reveled that when people laugh, the body decreases the production of stress hormones, which was replaced by powerful internal healing hormones.

Positive effects of laughter on our bodies and its healing aspects are also used in cancer research studies. It is widely accepted that patients and people with potential to get terminal illness should adopt a regular daily dose of laughter in order to boost internal healing processes.

Faith, forgiveness and letting go are other emotions, which are detrimental for proper internal healing. In November 1994, Newsweek reported that 45% of people who meditate feel a sense of sacred and connection. “The Faith Factor”: An Annotated Bibliography of Clinical Research on Spiritual Subjects (Matthews, 1993) reported that religious factors and beliefs have assisted in several health areas, such as: reduced alcohol consumption, cigarettes, drugs, anxieties, depression, anger, guilt; reduced blood pressure and improved overall quality of life for patients with cancer and heart diseases. In fifteen out of sixteen studies that they have explored, they have concluded that exposure to religious activities actively reduced hostility.

At Dartmouth Medical School, it was found that heart disease patients who received support and comfort from their religious faith were three times more likely to survive than those who did not. (Oxman 1995).

When one brings the benefits of faith to ones practice of the healing enhancement and self-healing methods, the potential benefits are doubled. What then is our goal when we pray for healing? Are we merely hoping to have a favourable psychological effect on the patient, since a positive attitude facilitates healing? Or is it something more? Do we believe that God can or will actually intervene in an individual’s physical recovery? Is there a spiritual, possibly even supernatural, element to healing? Is God involved?

In the Book of Second Kings, the story is about Naaman, the chief general of the Arameans. Naaman is suffering from leprosy. He hears that an Israelite prophet can cure leprosy, so he sends a request to the King of Israel. Naaman asks that the prophet be sent to cure him. The King of Israel is skeptical. He asks: “Am I God, to deal death or give life, that this fellow writes to me to cure a man of leprosy?” The King of Israel is basically saying that Naaman needs a physician, not a prophet.

When the prophet hears about it, though, he says that he can help. He asserts that Naaman will be cured if he will come to Israel and bathe in the holy waters of the Jordan River. Eventually, Naaman does so, and is cured. He thanks the prophet, but he praises the One Whom he knows to be the ultimate Source of his healing; Naaman praises God.

Rationally, Naaman could not expect to be healed without pursuing a plan of action. Bathing was indeed the best remedy that the modern medicine of the day had to offer. Religiously, though, he could not hope to be cured without the help of God. Bathing alone is not sufficient without prayer. Naaman presents us with an excellent model for our own lives. Human beings must act. When we are ill, we must avail ourselves of the greatest wisdom that medical science has to offer. And yet, as human beings, we are limited. Even our best efforts do not guarantee healing. Human beings must pray. We need God’s help.

In our own time, just a few years ago, Time Magazine ran a cover story about faith and healing. The article describes a study that purports to prove that prayer has the power to heal. The subjects of the study, all of whom sought medical attention, were not told if they were among those for whom prayers were being said, or if they were in the control group, for whom no prayers were offered. As a group, those for whom prayers were recited had a higher rate of recovery. Of course, there is no general agreement that the study is reliable.

Perhaps the problem is in trying to explain or examine the workings of God, or any matter of faith, in rational terms. Can’t we acknowledge, logically, that some things cannot and will not ever be explained rationally? Even the most gifted physician can’t always tell us why some people recover, while others with the same illness, and similar mitigating factors, quickly deteriorate and die. There are aspects of each and every healing process that seem to be out of the physician’s hands that may be without any logical explanation. We may therefore quite rationally accept that there is a role for prayer, for spirituality, indeed for God, that we humans can not explain, can not quantify, can not limit.

Divine Love enables anyone to improve his/her physical or mental health in the remotest corners of the globe through the healing power of prayer. The tender and spiritual touch of divine love embraces everybody who sincerely searches for metaphysical healing or for health through spirituality.

The metaphysical system of mind-healing was discovered and fully demonstrated by a remarkable woman, Mary Baker Eddy, who lived in America in the 19th century and the early part of the 20th century. All her life was a manifestation of moral principles. Her love and dedication to those principles led her to a divine revelation of a metaphysical healing system of prayer.

Healing through prayer rests on heartfelt acknowledgement and affirmation of the power of divine love. It is based on the practitioner and patient’s contemplation of man’s spiritual existence as image and likeness to God.

When we admit in our heart that all things are possible to the omnipotent and omnipresent love, we would be able to demonstrate the truth that the power of God exists right where we are. As in the old time the Bible assures us now, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble”.

Recognizing this truth in our hearts any problems can be adjusted bringing spirituality, health, and harmony into your life.

The light of science will one day confirm the healing power of forgiveness and acceptance. They are integral part of mind healing, but have not yet become part of the medical science. Ancient traditional systems of medicine strongly believed that holding a grudge and fighting against the natural flow of events drain vitality.

In the most refined systems of self-healing, the ability to forgive and the ability to accept certain inevitable events are considered the greatest healers. In some forms of Qi Gong from China and Yoga from India suggest that ability to forget and surrender are the most elevated forms of healing and are often called soul healing. These systems suggest that when the soul is healed, it automatically clears the mind and this automatically heals the body. When person forgives, certain harmful tensions are released and it prevents potential self-destruction.

Also, when one accepts the life events as they are meant to be, good and not so good, one is liberated from a dangerous inner strain. It is important to note that it is not the unforgiven person that suffers, but rather the unforgiving one. It is also important to note that effective emotional surrender liberates us from trying to change what obviously cannot be changed. So building a strong emotional flexibility is a key to successful, healthy and long life.
