Case Study 2 – Business
Successful entrepreneur and businessman, who in his prime days was known for his sharp vision and bold moves has over a period of time lost that “killer” instinct, which has made him so successful. As he was progressing in his career, he adopted a more intellectual/analytical approach to running his businesses, so instead of making sharp and clear decisions (as he once used to do), he started to over analyse tons of data before making a move. He changed his management style, as he was so advised by numerous business consultants and
mentors with whom he worked in the past. That was clearly not his style and therefore, he became easily irritated and moody. His internal struggles created negative impact on his employees’ and as a consequence his businesses started to suffer. His stakeholders started to question his ability to run his businesses and whether something had to be done about it. As far as they were concerned, he was no longer an inspirational leader he once used to be.
Through careful application of our programmes and additional one on one coaching, he has gradually reached deep inside and has discovered that he is an “instinctive decision maker” i.e. that he is driven by his “feelings”, which were the original force that made him so successful in the first place. He has also learnt that greater self-awareness coupled with cognitive acknowledgment of his deep rooted instincts and feelings are the only way for him to restore his “ideal state of being”. As a consequence, he has made relevant lifestyle changes, which have had an immediate positive impact on him and on the people around him. He reverted back to his “old style”, decided to beef up his management structure and to spend more time with his growing family. He claims that he never felt happier and more fulfilled.
